Im entering this for the only pp challenge and Cheryl's product/technique bonus challenge. Thanks ladies for helping me get out of my comfort zone and try something new. Didn't quite like how the title turned out, I practiced on a scratch paper first but I guess the pp background makes a difference in how the ink will show. I really enjoyed making this page, I tried to make the most out of my pp even though there were times I wanted to put a few embellies on it. The flowers on the top right corner are cut out from pp. tfl.

Journaling: In High School I was involved in our school newspaper. Both Junior and senior years I was in the editorial board. Part of our training was competing in the nationwide journalism competitions held every year. It has different levels where you start at the district level, then if you win, you go to the regional and then to the nationals. There are different categories and you’re entered where your adviser feels you’re at best in. In my first year I entered the radio news writing and speech journalism (anchorman) category. I won in the news writing event for the district level which took me to the regional. And in the second year I did Photojournalism which is why I have this photo. This river actually has a historical significance to the Filipino nation. When the Filipinos decided to revolt against the Spanish regime, there emerged a leader named Emilio Aguinaldo. The Spaniards invaded his mansion but before they can capture him he fled on a boat similar to this through the river to a safer location. Eventually he would become the first Philippine President. I took this shot as part of my piece in the regional competition.
