I agree with you about how time changes, not just people, but places. Isn't this the reason we scrap, to hang on to those memories. I think that you have done a phenomenal job at scrapping these everyday to you places. Your page has interest. Great embellies. Great job. Your children will be showing this page to their children. They will be grateful.
When I look at old photos, I love seeing the landscape, buildings, and cars as much as the people. It's why I don't over-crop my photos most of the time. I think it's important to leave all those background details in there. It's also why I am scrapping these pics that I took for a challenge in January 2010. Probably, many people wouldn't consider these photos to be scrap-worthy, but I think it will be interesting to look back at these in the future for comparison since these are locations that I drive through most days of my life.
Journaling says: For the Mini Challenge, "5 Stops," in my Photo of the Day group, I chose to take photos of 5 different literal "Stop" signals I saw on the way to and from school this morning. I wonder if these intersections will still look the same in 20 years... 1 Adderly Lane & Winchester Rd - Stop Sign 2 Oak Spring Rd - Bus Stop 3 Rte. 176 & Lamb's Farm - Stoplight 4 Winchester Rd & Butterfield Rd - Don't Walk 5 Winchester Rd & US 45 - Railroad Crossing
This is my example for my August Four Categories Challenge - Category Four ~ Theme: Travel. The twist is to include an arrow, road sign, license plate, or vehicle embellie on the LO.
This is for a VLB Challenge to use chevrons on a LO.
I used an April 2013 PageMap. I cut the road signs and arrows with the Going Places cart on my Cricut and the 'scenic route' piece with Graphically Speaking. I cut the large wavy arrow near the bottom out of a scrap of an old road map. I outlined the photos with a Sharpie
