This LO is about an art print that I have in my house. Journaling says: I bought this William Vanscoy photograph print on canvas with brushstrokes for myself for my 40th birthday in 2007. It reminded me so viscerally of Up North - specifically, Rummels Road - that I had to have it. It hangs in the front entry, and I look at it every time I come down the stairs. It takes on different characteristics of the light depending on the time of day, and I never get tired of staring at it. It makes me feel home sick and at home all at the same time.

The left photo is one that I took in September 2009 of the road I refer to in the journaling. The right photo is one I took of the print itself with the frame cropped out - it was for a Long Road Ahead mini challenge in POD in February 2010. The center photo is the front entryway of my house, also from Feb 2010. The small photo at the bottom is the image itself from the artist's web site with his title for the photo underneath: I Couldn't See You. If you like large format photographic art, I highly recommend looking at this artist's work - it is breathtaking: vanscoyphotography.com

This is my example for my September Four Categories Challenge - Category Four ~ Theme: Art. The twist is to use a color medium (paint, gelatos, ink, dye, Copics, etc.). I cut the title letters out of scraps on my Cricut, and then used them to mask the title with the Tim Holtz Distress Marker Spritzer. I wanted a splashed mud feel. After, I drew in the outline of the letters to give them more definition.

This is for the September Music Challenge - Title category. My title is the song Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean. I did the tearing twist by using an old Creative Memories tearing tool on the strip of pp under the title.

Also for an old VLB challenge to tell a full story in the journaling on a page.
