This is absolutely awesome!
I love all your lo's and cards.
Thanks for the time you always take to visit my gallery and for the so very nice comments.
Hope you'll enjoy your vacation.
Terrific page Fran! You do masculine pages as beautifully as you do the feminine ones! You seem to always pick the perfect accents and embellishments for your subject matter! xo
Wonderful page, I sure can relate to the need for speed! My dad was a race car driver back in the early 70's and he gave me the bug too. Glad to hear he's 'watching the races these days though. Love the pic's and great fun layout! Love the flags and bottle cap, title work, clock and gears. Very well done!
This so ROCKS, Fran!! What a cool and fun page. Love the flags, gears and hidden journaling behind one of the gears. So many goodies to look at without being overly done. Fave
A real nice page. What a thrill it must have been for your husband to have had some races even if it was with the little cars. So glad he chose not to get into racing the bigger and much faster cars of today :o)Ro
Absolutely wonderful page, Fran! I love the amazing and happy photos and you scrapped them beautifully! I bet he really loved this page - obviously made with TLC from your heart!!!!!
A wonderful page of great details, that tells an amazing story and what I think was the right decision . Love the clock ,flags and masking you did a delightful job.
love the mix of embellies and techniques. GREAT masculine lo. It's a shame that the offer didn't come sooner, but it sounds like your DH made the right decision.
Cool page! I love the different corner angles you used to create a cohesive look of symmetry. I also like the clock face, hand, and title, which all share the same theme. And I think you did a great job with the Gueso and colouring of the chipboard gears. Fun pics! (It's hard to make a layout without using flowers, but you did it!)
My husband raced Gokarts and Mini-modified race cars in his younger days. He always dreamed of racing NASCAR or Sprint cars. Recently, at 69 years of age, he turned down an offer to drive a race car next year. Now retired, with 2 metal implants, one in each of his legs, I think he made the right decision.
Chipboard gears are from Melissa (Scraphouse), created by Gina's Designs. Thanks so much, Melissa. I scanned the clock face and checkered flags and printed them onto cardstock. I inked some chipboard border pieces, punched a border, did some masking with Gesso and alcohol ink, added the hand written sentiment, rick-rack, metal pieces and stickers. The journal is hidden on a gear, behind the lower pics. All 4 corners were designed on the same angle, but with different embells as I thought it would add more interest.
Thanks to all who take time to leave a comment for me. Please know that it is much appreciated.
