This layout is of my great-Uncle during his service in WW II. The two pictures of him are the original picture. I did my very first pocket for this layout. As you can see I put some copy written letters he wrote home to my paternal grandfather and grandmother. My grandmother still kept a lot of her brother in law's letter during the war. Uncle Norman, was one of my grandfather younger brother. I guess they were close since there are few pictures of them together. I also put in some information about Batter of the Budge which was in Dec 1944. I didn't know he was involved in that until after his death in Sept 2011. When I read his obituary. Before he died in 2011 it was just him and his younger half-brother who were the last of my paternal grandfather brothers to still be alive. Now two years later they both are gone. So, there no more of the older family members left. I decided not to cover up his name since he passed away. I wanted people to know who he was and his name. Since he did serve his country.
