I love this shot! I've tried so many times to capture a shot of birds but they are always such a flop! And when I even see a hawk I either don't have my camera or don't have the time to stop and take a shot!

Oh wow....sweet shot! We have Cooper's Hawks in my area. I think they can hear me grabbing my camera from in the house...as soon as I open the door (ever so carefully) they bolt when I lift the camera (again...ever so carefully/quietly). ;)

JAN 2015 / Photo Fun / Mini #10 Best

1-4-15...This is a Sharp-shinned Hawk...I love to see them and I'm happy when I can photograph one. But, most back-yard bird watchers will agree, they're not the BEST bird to have in your backyard since they're usually hunting for a smaller bird to have for breakfast. [P1042851]
