This was a very hard layout. The beginning of the month my 11th grader had a code red at school. A former student tweeted a picture of himself holding guns and threating her school. Code Red means the intruder is in the building. It all turned out to be a false alarm, but it was 2 1/2 hours of pure terror for the kids and all of the parents waiting. I really wanted to document this, but it was outside my normal kind of story. This picture was at lunch after I got her out of school.
