I'm loving your pages Linda, we had the dial phone and were on a "party line". I remember some of moms friends talking about others who "listened in". We each had different rings :)

The items we used every day, boys the slingshot, everybody the firefly lamps, and the dial telephone, our number was Pilgrim 6862, and TV. The only two - three on a good day, with the rabbit ears. Innocent shows, Saturday the best, Zorro, Sky King, Roy Rogers, Lone Ranger, Clark Kent and Lois Lane (Superman) etc. The cartoons were funny, Yogi Bear, Heckle and Jeckle, Roadrunner, etc. Do you remember Shirley Temple, Our Gang, Three Stooges, Abbot and Costello. We faithfully watched Bonanza with little Joe. We sure were a Lucky generation, even though our little box black and white TV, our imaginations, the land around us, just being FREE. We were forever enjoying the outside year round, in the house? Not unless weather interfered with our plans.
