Speaking of those glasses, my birth mom had a pair of them when she was a kid. The prescription was the same as mine when I was a kid, well my grandmother (who raised me) kept my mother's childhood glasses. Anyways, I wore those pale green and white glasses to school in High School as part of "Spirit Week" on the day that we had to dress up in that era of clothing. It was priceless, and I could see through the glasses just fine. My grandmother later gave me the glasses, and sadly I lost them when my home burned in 2001.
Ohhh I still have my "saddle" shoes, but got rid of the poodle skirt and glasses awhile ago. What awesome memories, thanks Linda for sharing these memories with me.
the most famous clothes were the "Poodle Skirt" and "Jack & Jill" shoes. We had very basic radios for music and off course "The Dick Clark Show". Every Friday night was either a dance or roller skating. Got to love those glasses.
