Hello friends! Here's an OTP project I made for a sweet sis-in-law for her birthday. I found a cigar box at one of our local antique malls for $2.00 as well as the pretty dusty rose applique that I cut down to use under the flowers. I was pretty excited about finding those for such a good price.

I first painted the entire box, inside and out, with Gesso so the printing wouldn't show through the papers I chose. Before applying the papers I inked around all the edges with TH Aged Mahogany as well as the edges of the box. Then came the fun part, choosing my embellies and figuring out a closure for the lid. My sis-in-law's bedroom colors are brown, beige and wine so I tried to keep it close to that color scheme. I'm sorry I don't know what brand of paper I used on the outside. It is from my stash.

The beautiful butterflies and small rose buttons are from Reneabouquets
Inside paper is from The Paper Studio Country Roads Collection - Hobby Lobby as well as the pretty bird pendant and intricate key.
Metal French banner is from Nini's Things that I won in a drawing.
Burgundy colored lace is from my friend Brandy (Jellybean)
Button for closure is from Joann's
The lace applique packaging said Crown Originals - St. Louis Trimming, Inc.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
