Great story and I think that it's neat that you got Ken in a pic - he seems to be pretty good about that! My favorite part of your lo is the map with the arrows. It tells the story within the story.

We rented a Suziki Celeria (which we dubbed Celery) in Esteli. The car was a tight fit for 4 adults but the 3 cylinder engine got great mileage. All of use rode to San Juan Del Sur, Kyle and Heyddi dropped us at the airport [Managua] then drove back.
