That toga does not quite fit with my sense of history but everything eventually fits in with the sense of history at the time it was conceived! You have brought to life so much of the rich history of the area!!!

2014 - Stirling - wee Wallace

this statue of William Wallace (Mel's Braveheart himself), sits atop the portico of a building in Stirling. The townsfolk of Stirling really didn't like Wallace dressed in a toga (Victorians were enthralled with ancient civilizations) so it sat in a garden for a long time before being accepted.
