these would be brilliant for people like my mum who is in and out of hospital. Also cut flowers (real ones) aren't allowed on the cancer ward or on the surgical ward, due to risk of infection - what a brilliant idea - TFS
Oh. My. Goodness. I've been seriously looking for some kewl decorations to make for my DD new 3-year-old big kiddo "flower" room. All that time I've wasted on ebay, coulda just checked out your gallery, adding to my faves, GREAT idea!!
This is absolutely adorable!!!! Thanks for sharing and providing a few pointers! I must try these...my niece and nephew's wife are due to have babies soon and these might just be the ticket :)
Inspired by MelissaW's paper flowers, I made these for a teenage friend who had knee surgery and will be "down" for a while. I figured they will last a LOT longer than real ones. I had tons of fun making them!!
I didn't use any templates or anything...I couldn't find any! And I don't have a diecut machine, so I just came up with what I could. The littlest flowers are made from the biggest punch I have, but the rest of them I just made up by doing what seemed simplest. For a couple of the bigger flowers, I used a foam stamp and cut out around it. All in all, I used a LOT of glue dots and pop dots and kind of figured it out as I went along, stuck some ribbon in where I could, added some buttons... I had fun experimenting! Oh yeah, the stems are bamboo skewers painted green.
Papers are 'Contemporary Palette' by Paper Reflections. The gorgeous green paint is my favorite LUMIERE in Citrine by Jacquard.
