grave of a Young couple in San Miniato Cemetery in Florence Italy

We went to Mass and Vespers at the San Miniato Church which is located above Florence. There is a famous cemetery that surrounds the church. I like to take cemetery photos and came across this stunning set of statues in the graveyard., He is in a military uniform and he died in the war in 1944, she is in a long dress and she died 11 months after him. I thought they were star crossed lovers but it turns out that they were brother and sister and their mother had the statues made for their grave 2 years after their deaths
