1. Pick Your Binder
Seriously, if you skip this step, you'll have a bunch of pretty things and nowhere to put them! A 4x4 album is a great place to start. You can experiment with size and arrangement of photos in your page protectors to fit your style. A 4x4 binder is also the perfect size for holding Instagram photos!

2. Select Your Paper
In memory-keeping, it helps to be all about that base. Picking your paper is an important step, because after you've done so, you'll have a better idea of the overall design scheme you want for your finished album. You don't have to think about using 50 different papers! Start with a handful, then when you're a paper-crafting expert, start experimenting with layering, cutting, and punching papers to customize them. Basically, the paper acts as a base for arranging photos and journaling in your projects.

3. Choose Embellishments
This is the most exciting part. There are so many choices to add color and flair to your pages. We're obviously big fans of gold for its rich, neutral tone that makes it perfect for kicking things up a notch without being overbearing. Stick sentiment stickers on or around photos to memorialize the special event taking place. Or let shapes describe your feelings about a photo or event! Extras like glitter hearts, transparencies, and icon stickers add a fun design element wherever you put them. Don't forget to add notes on journal cards too! They're a handy way to jot down your memories.
