Yankee Stadium

This is a page I did for my dad. I asked him to write a paragraph about his experiance getting to take his dad to Yankee stadium, he had no idea what it was for. Here is what he wrote:

Taking my dad, and your grandfather to New York to Yankee Stadium, was one of his dreams. He is now going with us, when we go at leat twice a year. The first trip was a world-win affair, and was quick. He was on an anti-depresent medicine, after loosing his wife of 54 years just months prior. He had a hard time, and was not himself during this trip. But now, after being off the medicine, he had a much better time. He, as I, when we first walked into Yankee Stadium, said it took our breath away! His eyes showed the excitement of a school boy going to his first game at The Stadium, enriched with the history of all of his boyhood and adult heros. The walk into Monument Park, where all the legends have plaques, bring back memories of all his favorites, and the greatest players he has ever had the chance to read about, see on TV, and listen to on radio. He, as I, said that now, we could die happy, seeing the shrine we always dreamed about. When they announced the lineup, and sang the National Anthem, and in the 6th inning, the recording by Kate Smith, of "God Bless America", there were tears in his eyes. It makes me proud to have taken my dad, and your grandfather to Yankee Stadium, one of his life long dreams. We also took him to other sites, such as Ground Zero, Trump Towers, a river dinner trip, up the East River, and several "famous" dining spots, but the trip to Yankee Stadium to see the Yankees, his boyhood dream, will mean the most to me, and I think to him. Hope he will have good dreams about doing one of the things in his life, that has really meant something to him. Next to his family, this is the second most important thing to him before he is no longer with us. He will see Yankee Stadium, and the experience of NYC for the rest of his life. I was so proud to be a part of it.
