I have been busy playing around with techniques and making my own texture paste, when applying it, it reminded of bark, so I wanted to incorporate this into my next card. This is the result :)
Onto a printed pink background I used some texture paste and a damask mask, this created the backdrop for my bark. The bark was made using one layer of texture paste, which I painted in brown acrylic, then adding another layer of my texture paste which I had coloured a lighter brown. I printed the words 'Thinking of you' and cut the oval shape to fit into my die cut shape from Die-namics, I painted these in shimmery paints, one bronze and one silver. The fern leaves were die cut from a die by Intricutz, which I covered in a shimmery texture paste by Shimmerz Paints. The little butterfly was from a punch I have which I covered in a crackle medium and then added some pink ink when dry. Lastly I added some paper flowers, stick on pearls and some twine to finish the look.
