Hi everyone. Here is a layout I created of Clark Gable. His first name was actually William and he was one of many Movies Stars that enlisted in the service during WW11. I wanted to honor Clark Cable for his dedicated military service so this is what I came up with along with his photo I found on Pinterest.
Here is some info regarding his service and what he accomplished. There was more to him as a person besides being a hollywood legend and I wanted to share this with you.
Clark Gable (1901-1960) Major US Army Air Corps 1942-44 WW II. Although beyond draft age, Clark Gable enlisted as a private. Assigned to OCS he excelled and received a commission. He flew five combat mission as an observer/gunner in a B-17earning a Distinguished Flying Cross and an Air Medal. On his fourth mission, a 20mm shell cut the heel from his boot. His discharge was signed by Captain Ronald Reagan. Gable starred in 67 movie films.
The bg paper is Donna Salazar " Antiquities. I did alot of distressing, took a small box and tore the top layer off which created the three main pieces you see, then sprayed, inked and embossed each one. The flowers are Prima and some Recollections. The chipboard gears are Gina's Designs and the metal pieces are Tim Holtz and Hobby Lobby.
