Join us on the Designer Digitals blog for this month's Story Scrapbook Challenge all about dads!
My dad saw a show on TV this winter about a government conservation program in Oregon and Washington where fisherman come and fish for pikeminnow, a predator of the salmon, and get paid for each fish they catch. My dad, the eternal fisherman, thought that sounded just awesome, so my parents packed up their camper, boat, and two pickups and drove from Kansas to Oregon to live and fish for a few months this spring and summer. My mom has her own stained glass business, so they just built her a little work room in their camper, and she continues her work while my dad is out fishing. So while this is a challenge to tell a story about dad, it is actually a story about both my parents and their total awesomeness to just go off and do something a little crazy and completely out of the norm. I love that they are willing to be adventurous, go for their dreams, and embrace life. So here's my awesome dad fishing the Columbia River for pikeminnow on his current life adventure! Smile
