My parents also had a black and white kitty adopt them. It too thought it was a dog and so they very appropriately named it Mutt. It even barked instead of meowed. I like the watercolor title work you've done on the LO. I like the bright oranges and pinks on this too.
Awww, what a touching story! Animals have a way of working their loving magic for healing! She's a sweetie! Lovely page and I'm happy she found a welcoming home!
My parents cat, Olive, just days before having four kittens, hence the company! Even in her advanced pregnancy, she would let Juan carry her around on his arm like a pocketbook! Olive was a stray, she showed up on my parents doorstep on August 28, 2011, which would have been our dog, Max's, birthday. Max was a yellow lab, my parents' fourth child, my hairy brother, who had died a few months earlier, in April. Olive waltzed into the house, heading straight to the spot Max's water and food bowls had been. Then she strutted into the living room and hopped up on the recliner, Max's favorite perch. I truly believe that Max knew my family needed him still, and sent a hand-picked replacement...and Olive surely thinks she is a dog!!
