That red center section is really cool! So dramatic - perfect for the topic of course! Neat idea to make a pocket behind the pic. I really enjoy reading the journaling - you are a great storyteller!
Beautiful photos and layout. Dancing is so good for a child to increase their ability to learn, dance with music, solo's, competitions, etc. My 2 gd dance and the older one is extremely flexible. She also does, ballet and competitions.
How did they have that many in the club when there was only like 15 in her joined class? I guess the school was bigger than I thought. She was one busy girl. Like how you pulled all the colors in and it looks great.
Love this way this flows from one page to the next with the bit of black doily peeping out the top of or bottom of each page! Very cool title! The black silhouettes on red are really cool!
These are photos from the performance at the end of my dd's first year in Orchesis on May 23, 2012 during her Freshman year of hs. The red center section contains photos from the main piece she performed. The dance started with all the girls in silhouette against a red background. The right blue section contains photos from the finale dance and the bows at the end of the show.
Journaling says: Cassie signed up for the Orchesis Dance Club during Activity/Club Kickoff Week the second week of school. The group meets from late February to mid-May. At the first meeting, the members watched 30 second snippets of each dance, and then, each turned in a ranked list of dances she or he was interested in learning, along with which days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays, he or she would be able to attend rehearsals. Wednesday was the only day that really fit into Cassie's already busy dance schedule, so she was excited to get her first choice, a jazz piece to Express by Christina Aguilera from the Burlesque soundtrack, co-choreographed by a senior and a junior. There were also a few Tuesday rehearsals for the entire Company to learn the Finale dance to Reaching Our Dreams by Honey, in which Cassie was happy to be placed in the lyrical section.
This is my example for my July Four Categories Challenge - Category Two ~ Color: Red, White, and Blue. The twist is punching. I have 4 punched butterflies.
This is for the July Music Challenge - Title. I have the song title, Express, as a subtitle. The butterfly trail is a glitter brad for the twist.
Also for the VLB Challenge to do a red, white, and blue LO.
The 5x7 photo on the left is one of my dd and the group she danced with that I got off of fb. I used it to make a pocket for the program. I outlined all the photos with a black Sharpie. I printed the journaling on vellum.
