How much fun does she have trying on all these different personalities for each performance! She looks like she really loved this one and the LO is fantastic. SO many fun colors and patterns blended seemlessly. GReat job!
This is amazing! I love the paper with the cushioned vinyl brads together - kind of continues the little circles into he patterns in the papers. Love the paper strips and the distressing and the photo (awesome photo) and the bright colors and the ring around the photo out of the striped paper and I love the title and the way you filled in the top part of the "g" in the title - or I should say, you laid the title and letter exactly perfect on the patterned paper. This is awesome!
In 2012, my dd was in 8 dances in her studio's recital. This is her portrait for Advanced/Intermediate Tap, one of 3 tap dances she had in this recital, and it's the first one for 2012 that I've gotten to. She's 15 here. The girls danced to Tonight, Tonight by Hot Chelle Rae. I loved this dance!
I always do a single page LO for each of her individual portraits that I try to match to the costume and song and a coordinating 2 page LO for the group portrait and action shots from the dress rehearsals. You can see my other completed dance LO's in my Dance LO Album in my Gallery. All the professional dance portraits have been taken by Cass Photography.
This is for the July Music Challenge - Lyrics. Tonight, tonight is a lyric in the song as well as the title. For the tearing twist, I tore one end of each of the three strips of pp as well as the black mat for each strip.
The costumes for this dance were really fun. The color scheme I chose will make more sense if you see the companion LO with photos of the whole group. There were nine girls in the dance with 3 colors and 3 skirt styles so basically they each had a one of a kind costume. Cassie got the best one IMO -- the hoop skirt in hot pink. The other colors were, as you may have guessed, neon green and neon orange. The other 2 skirt styles were a fringy, carwash kind of thing and a black tutu. The girls were able to put a lot of personality and attitude into this one. They had a blast doing it, and it showed. I had the perfect pp line with these colors in My Mind's Eye Summer Song. The neon brads are cushioned vinyl. I cut the title on my Cricut. TFL!
