Haha! I loved reading your journaling/description of how this layout came together. I agree with so many things: modeling paste is scary (Glad you used it! I've had mine for over a year!), your sequel comment (my brain works like that too), your fear of your inspo piece (you rocked it!), your thoughts on the phrase "man up", and talking to yourself when you scrap (I basically do it all the time - lol!). Ok, so that being said - love your layout. Great photos - love all the details: layers, embellies, color combo. Your gesso looks like water droplets. It all works really well together!
What a little darling. I love those little fat rolls. Just so adorable. I love the design and love the use of the small bathing suits with the large blooms. Beautifully scrapped!!
Great work with the modeling paste. Like too the placement of the little photos. So interesting that way (separated as they are). Like the title work too. I like how it doesn't fit perfectly in the caption shape and the bottom word rests on the edge instead of inside.
Cracking up about the talking to yourself. My friend and I scrap together quite often and we both do that so it may sound like conversation but really it's each of us talking to ourselves.
Your lo is lovely and fun and adorable. You do a great job with the gesso - isn't it fun getting messy? The pps and colors are wonderful too .
This may be out of your comfort zone, but it is gorgeous! Your layering of embellishments is on point, the colors are vivid, and the modeling paste work is perfect for the page. Definitely one of my favorite LOs!
Perfect on paste BG. I'm still learning too! Love this! So ADORABLE! Wonderful job on lift!!!!!!!! Love the pps, colors and happy, cheerful Photos! I also was intimidated with what I was given for the challenge but I think fear helps us grow, learn and become better scrappers!
These are more photos from a group of pictures I took of DD playing in the yard back in May 2014. This is the sequel (if you will; at the moment I am watching Star Wars with my family and we are finishing episode 4 and about to start episode 5; I guess I have sequels on the brain) to A Girl Like You. I did this LO for the Gallery Inspiration Challenge. Honestly I was pretty terrified when I was assigned {Hello World} layout * Glitz Design* By Karola Witczak. Check it out at
I have never worked with modeling paste before...even thought I bought it 6 months ago. I guess I was just nervous to try it. But since my inspiration LO used it I decided to man up and try it. (What a dumb expression; now that I have a daughter I feel like it sends a bad message.) I really struggled with trying to create this LO with at first, specifically before I actually started it. It took me a while but I had a lot of fun making it. Especially the first night. Our friends came over with their kids. While the hubbys watched baseball and the kids played, I scrapped while my gal-friend relaxed in my scraproom with me. It was nice to have company to talk to. Also she pointed out that I talk to myself a lot while I scrap.
