I started with orange card stock. I cut out a black paper rectangle and a slightly smaller watercolor paper rectangle. Then, on my ranger craft mat, I spritzed some Pine Needles Distress Spray Stain and some water. I dragged my watercolor paper through it in different directions until I had the effect I wanted of varying darker and lighter colors, as well as some areas where it looked like water dripped and some areas where the white paper showed through some. Then I dried it with my heat tool. I cleaned off my craft mat. Then I stamped these cute new birthday acrylic ranger stamps. I combined using a variety of inks, stains, and markers to watercolor and just regularly color the cake, cupcake, and birthday present. Last, I chose to use white ink for the Happy Birthday stamp. I thought it would be fun to use that over the green instead of a more traditional darker ink. It's such a fun card! I can't wait for my friend's birthday!
