I would have never know you were a "little lazy" with this LO, it came out beautifully! And I seriously love what you did with the teal paper when you were deciding which "one" to use!
It is good to keep up if you can, but it is fun to go back and scrap their baby pictures when they are grown too. I was lucky that I put them in a photo album with the dates,
I love the pop of flowers on the printed flowers.
such adorable photos wonderfully showcased. I love the color combo - the flower pp certainly does not overwhelm the photos. You've designed this lo perfectly.
This is so sweet and I love your work! As someone who started "scrapping" in 2012 I want to tell you that you want keep track of your photos. My boys are 36 and 42 and I am still scanning some of the older photos before I use them. If I knew back then what I know now about scrapping it would have been a game changer. Scrapping is in parenthesis because I never thought I would become so intrigued by the different aspect of the art!
I love the teals with your floral paper. This is a beautiful layout. As a grandmother, I can tell you that making the memories is more important than scrapping them. Scrapping is great, but you can do that later (even when your memory gets weaker!) Those little ones don't stay little very long and you have to enjoy that stage. You are doing it right. Just scrap when you have time. You don't have to be caught up. Lovely page.
Love the mix of teals you decided to keep. Your daughter is precious! Yes, these times fly by all to quickly. My DD is now 22 and no, I'm not current with her photos. I started scrapbooking when she was about 8 so I'll have plenty to do because I am a photo-bug! Thanks for sharing!
These are just the cutest photos!!!! And the waiting to scrap them paid off; you've done a perfect job with your choice of papers and embellies and the pop of black from the vines!!!
These are really old pictures of DD...I think she was 6 or 7 months old. I wish I had wrote it down. I loved these pictures when I first took them! She was so cute and alert and she loved that bouncy thing. But I have since learned that I love EVERY picture of my daughter and if I don't scrap it right away the picture quickly gets lost in the pile of all my prized photos. Its tough to be a mom and a scrapper sometimes, because I have to balance time for making memories and preserving them. But I do love doing it now rather than 20 years from now. The memories are fresh enough that I feel like I am literally reliving them when I scrap. Its making this fast process of parenthood slow down (not enough).
I was a little lazy with this page. I kept it super simple, but I still really like it. I LOVE that floral paper and had been hoarding it. Afraid to not use enough of it or overwhelm it I decided to use half of it with a solid teal counterpart...then I like the way it looked while trying to decide which teal paper to use...so I kept it! ha TFL
