Beloved Nickelodeon Icon Becomes Victim of Violent Ritual

Journaling Tag - With 5 birthdays in our family between September 21st and October 2nd, we had plenty to celebrate. The Bilodeau – Bentley clan gathered at our house for a fun, casual party. We have the exclusive photos and the true story of what really went on that day. Check out the culinary disasters, the inside scoop on gift trends, the latest fashion, and more on Page 2.

Enquiring Minds Want to Know

(right page) Happy Birthday Grandma, Mimi, Cameron, Barry, and Meghan!
With 5 birthdays in close succession, we had the perfect excuse to have a family get together. With a modest sized group of only 16 (a very small party for this family!), we were able to have a fun, relaxing day. Beautiful autumn weather allowed the kids to play outside. We spent the day catching up and then enjoyed a casual potluck supper. The kids enjoyed a piñata, and then we finished up with birthday cake, and presents. All in all we had a nearly perfect day!

Style Watch ~ Fun and Function Combine in Birthday Fashions
Huntley, Illinois – This season’s hottest look in hats is a fabulous take on piñata – couture. This fun look is popping up everywhere. Meghan, Barry, and Emily show that this is a look that works for everyone.
Meanwhile, tissue paper fashion overtakes the runway. Designer / Model Mikey Rodriguez shows off his unique sense of style with this interesting and versatile new line.

Party Succeeds Despite Un-Martha Stewart-like Touches
It’s never a good sign when the questionably decorated birthday cake is missing a name. And if culinary mishaps weren’t enough, Cameron’s gift to Mimi seemed to be an odd choice. After all, it isn’t everyday that some gives you a box of waffle mix. But, the unconventional touches in this party are part of what made it so much fun. We are not a proper group of people. It’s probably a good thing that Martha Stewart doesn’t live here. Instead of proper, we had fun! Happy Birthday everyone!

I used only the provided supplies, and black and white cardstock. I used a dark charcoal chalk to make all the papers look more like newsprint.

Thanks to Kia for another great challenge!

Thanks for looking!
