Been through that tunnel many times. Our boys always liked the tunnels. Many years ago, I and my first son went touring SD with my folks in a motor home. We made it through the tunnel by just a hair on each side!! I wonder how many get stuck in there??? :o)Ro
Fabulous texture on your layout. Great rock paper with the footprints that draw your eye along the trail... I like the embossed trees and checkerboard border!! Boots are the perfect compliment to the page!
This is a great 2 page layout! I love the different techniques that you used - especially making the boot prints. Love the die-cuts and that squirrel brad is sweet!
Oh my Gosh! This is fantastic! I love all the detail and all the difference processes that you used! Those hiking tracks are awesome and I love the boots. The scene stealer though has to be this collection of photos! How beautiful. I've been through Needles before but never saw the rock formation that looks like the eye of a needle. I actually said, "WOW" out loud - how did I miss that? I'm so glad you showed it because I always wondered about the name. Now I know. The squirrel theme is adorable. I love the cohesive theme going through this album. Can't wait to see more pages of this!
This is my two pager for some of the sites seen on the Needles Highway trek in 2012. I cut the titles with my Silhouette SD. I think the two white titles on the page were cut with the Great Vibes font, but I can't remember which two fonts I used for the main title cut. I also cut the hiking boots with a design by that name and the tracks with were also cut with a design called "Hiking Boot Prints". I then used the cut as a stencil and applied the tracks with a marker. The quotes are clear stickers by Timeless memories. I typed the minimal journaling on this. The trees were traced on a template and cut out and then pressure embossed with inking. I used a Sizzix/Stampin Up Stripe for the big tree, and Lifestyle Zig Zag, Cuttlebug Polka Dots, Lifestyle Chain, and Cuttlebug Gingham folders for the smaller trees. The strip across the top is decorative tape. The pine tree patterned paper is by Provo Craft and is called "Once Upon a Forest". The stamped camera is from the You and Me collection by Hampton Arts. The squirrel brad (squirrels are my theme for this album and will appearing on every one or two paged LO at least once) is by the Eyelet Outlet.
I entered this in the 2015 Volume Scrapping Challenge, the September Silhouette Challenge and the September Travel Challenge.
