Wow. That is such a beautiful photo -GREAT shot. the whole series is wonderful. Your little neice is beautiful. Love this layout, the flourishes, everything.
CHT: Good job! I like the journaling on the pic. Love the little square pics around the larger one. The only thing is the word awe - it gets lost on the side - maybe use a darker color or mat it like you did wonder - but not too dark of a paper.
CHT: Well me I like the journaling on the pic... Love the blocks all around!! The title needs to be reworked. AWE is too pale (inking with darker color), & is next to invidible (make it bigger) and WONDER darker blue is too dark. The rest I love very much!
CHT: I'm not overly fond of the writing on the photo but I think that I may feel more open towards it if you wrote it in white or a lighter color so it would be easier to read. The only other things that caught my eye are like eeyore said, the wonder seems to be just a little too blue, the & gets lost in the corner and i think it might make the "awe" stand out if maybe the edges were inked. But I do love the large photos with the smaller surrounding ones.
CHT: I don't like the journaling on the photo. I LOVE all the blocks around the bigger photo. YOu could post this in the thread asking for lo's with multiple photos. ALso, the WONDER at top doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the colors, the outline is a little too bright. Could you outline WONDER in green or pink (the same as in the flowers?)
Oh and can I scraplift the general idea? (large photo in center, little ones around it?)
I love the shades of blue here! The pastels are a perfect choice as they let the blue stand out which only brings out the red from her hair THAT much more. Very pleasing and just a great composition over all. Good job!
CHT: Those are great photos! I love the square border and how some of them have photos. Great texture, too. My only suggestion would have been to maybe write the journaling on something else and not directly on the photo to make it stand out more.
I knew what photo I wanted to use for the "feelings" challenge this week. I had thse great photos of my niece from her first birthday earlier this summer that I have been wanting to scrap. It fit really well with the feelings theme--her awe and wonder staring at the flame on her cake, and my own awe and wonder at my beautiful little niece and how much she's grown up in a year.
Journaling on photo reads: As you stared in awe and wonder at the cake, with the candle light burning bright at your first birthday, Megan, I too was in awe and wonder at the transformation you've gone through and I see your little light burning bright within...
