Lovely! Really sweet page and that photo is beautiful! Love how you seem to never miss the opportunity to capture the feeling of the dance she performed!
Oh my gosh...well done on this LO. I love the circle framing the photo and the pretty rhinestone flourishes. I can never get those flourishes right on my pages. You have a gift!!!
In 2012, my dd was in 8 dances in her studio's recital. This is her portrait for Intermediate/Advanced Ballet, one of 2 ballet dances she had in this recital. She's 15 here. The girls danced to More Than a Feeling by Boston.
I always do a single page LO for each of her individual portraits that I try to match to the costume and song and a coordinating 2 page LO for the group portrait and action shots from the dress rehearsals. You can see my other completed dance LO's in my Dance LO Album in my Gallery. All the professional dance portraits have been taken by Cass Photography.
This is my example for my October Four Categories Challenge - Category One ~ Product: Cardstock. Players have to use at least 2 different cardstocks on a page - I have a chocolate textured cs for the heart and one of the photo mats and Maltball smooth cs for the circle. The twist is to double mat the photos - my inner mat is cs and the outer one is floral pp.
This is for the October Music Challenge - Title. The twist is yellow, orange and red - I have red pp's, the light orange mulberry paper, and a pale yellow flower as well as gold brads.
Also for the VLB Challenge - "something falling--rain, snow, balls, waterfall, or even gelatos on the page in the background--be creative!" My dd is leaping here, so she's landing, not really falling, but what goes up must come down - so this is what I'm using to interpret 'falling.' ;)
I used an old Swirlydoos sketch for this. This costume is brown and deep burgundy. The bodice is velvet with a tie dye type pattern, and there is a matching strip of velvet that the girls tied in their hair. I cut off a bit of the end of the hair piece and used the Tattered Florals die to make the larger flower in the center of the LO. I fussy cut the braid from a piece of pp.
