My son having a pretty good time at the beach while we were on vacation this summer. This was one of the only times we got the chance to actually play at the beach due to bad weather almost the entire trip.
This layout is also for a critique group challenge which was to use punches/diecuts. Although you would think this would be an easy challenge, diecuts aren't all that easy to add to a page without having it come across as a diecut. I wanted it to look much more natural and fitting for the layout. I hope I acheived that. The journaling reads:
You had such a blast when the ocean water would come rushing up the beach. You would quickly run and lay down waiting for the water to come rushing around you as it got sucked back into the ocean.
I used a mix of papers, BG, Scrapwalls, vellum. The circles are stickers. The "at the beach" is a diecut rubbed with metal rubon colors, ink and a white sharpie.
