DH & I thought it would be really cool to go as a family of Jedi's this year since they are releasing Episode 7 on DEC 18th!!! Can you tell I am excited?!? Since DD still fit in the Jedi/Padiwan costume my Ffriend Jen made I figured all I would have to do was make a couple of costumes for DH & I, no problem right? Never Again! I was quickly reminded how crazy October is for us. Throughout the month DD would say, "I want to be a puppy for Halloween," and I would reply "we are going to all be Jedis together." Well finally the last week was approaching and DD finally put her foot down and insisted she be a Puppy (I was still only half way through the costumes) and I caved. So she was a puppy. And she was totally cute. Lesson learned: a 3 year old is too independent to let mommy choose her costume. Next year I will plan better. Perhaps I won't worry about a family costume. I guess I just wanted to make the evening special for us grown ups too. But in reality we all had fun...just being together.
