Since DD's cousins are getting older (7 &10) they are becoming less interested in cute and more interested in scary. So they decided to dress up as a zombie and a run over skateboarder. I helped them "make" their costumes (more like deconstruct) and their other aunt (my SIL) did their make up. She did a great job...too good. DD was actually a little disturbed by it. The kids were really sweet though and assured her that it was them under the make up and it will wash off after they went tricker-treating. Poor things, we didn't know that that stuff is really hard to wash off...especially the fake scab/ latex skin stuff. They scrubbed and peeled for about an hour...tears were shed. But when it all finally came off (ok most of it) DD sure was happy to see their faces again. It was actually really cute.
