This candid picture of me was taken a few years ago at a special function. I really liked the depth of the picture.
I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut the letters of the title and welded them together. I also made my own design and cut the three chipboard pieces around the photo. The roses are from http://www.wildorchidcrafts.com/ and the other flowers are Prima. I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang starburst sprays for most of the background colors, added some Prima Empress Gold spray, and Distress Black Soot ink pad.
I had my design in mind then came across Gabrielle Pollacco's layout here: http://gabriellepollacco.blogspot.ca/2015/12/creating-mixed-media-texture-background.html
That's when I realized my layout was missing that extra "something", so I added the black flourish stamp and the gold mist and texture paste stencil design to the top right. I also used her idea for adding the same texture paste design around the rose vine area. I truely have no idea what background paper I used - it was something that has been sitting in my stash. I put a couple of coats of Liquitex Acrylic Gesso on the back and to be safe, I added a thin layer of Liquitex Clear Gesso to the front.
