CHT: I agree about the staples and bringing the elements a little closer together. I also think removing the Exhibit A is a good call because it seems so cold compared to the warm feel of the lo and pick. This is an awesome idea for a lo... capturing that moment. I like the purple you selected as well.
Oh my gosh HOW FUNNY!!!!!! Love that you scrapped REAL girl, gotta love those real moments. I do like the page and the design, I think it's awesome. And I love those chipboard letters.
That's a great LO! Love Amy for all her inspiration! IMHO...I would take off the "exhibit a" part. It detracts from the title. The staples on ribbon are an awesome idea, but I think that they would work better on a LO that wasn't soft-colored, KWIM? (I can't think of the word right now...). Maybe the word I'm looking for is a bolder-colored LO. It's wonderful that you got a picture and their conversation all down! They grow so fast!!
I love the colors here ... and the chipboard letters are awesome!
I think the "exhibit a" takes a bit away from the intro to the conversation ...
CHT: Fun page lol!!!!! Those chipboard letters are fantastic! Love the purple of the LO which ties it to the purple of the pic. I basically like every element of the page but i feel its a bit scattered on the page. I would lower the title closer to the pic (maybe even overlapping the mat a bit?). Id bring up the date close or even on the circles (they are cute, by the way) and bring up the ribbons on the side too.
CHT: This is too funny! She will be so embarrassed when she is older! I like the color scheme you've used here. I might consider moving the title letters a little closer together. I'm also not too sure about the staples -- maybe I would like them more if they were colored? I think it might look a little more finished.
UPDATED - I changed this LO based on a bunch of the first comments I got (thanks everyone!). I removed the staples and the "exhibit a", but I haven't moved the elements closer together because I don't think I can get everything off without ruining the paper underneath...so I will think about it some more and maybe get some more paper!!
Maybe this is one of those "had to be there" moments, but I found this conversation between my DH and DD absolutely hilarious (and still do)! Good thing the camera was close at hand!
I have a confession - this is my first LO where I haven't done a complete mock-up on the computer first. I think I have paper commitment issues!! But if I am to get any faster at all this I thought I had better give it a try. First time doing "custom" chip board letters...boy did that take forever!! This is certainly my busiest page to date, so I hope it all came together in the end!!
I like the way *Lorealle* (Amy) does her ribbon's with staples, so that is where I got that idea from, and she also "inspired" me to not be afraid to scrap a "nose picking" page ;)
