I just realized this post with the second page! I love your write up/journaling about the bridge. It definitely is very impressive to see in person. If you can, you should make a trip down for Bridge Day on 10/15. It is one fun experience!
I wanted to mimic the river in the picture. I probably should have put a curve in it because it looks more like a pool or waterfall. I stickled the top row of trees and stamped the trees on the sides of the 'river'. Below the row of trees is plain white ric rac which I colored with a sharpie. I also stickled the title as the letters were plain white chipboard. The lower right has thee passport stamp. This was a pretty area to visit.
Journaling reads: May 27, Wednesday 3:30p On our way home from NC, we stopped at New River Gorge Bridge in WV. Construction started June 1974 & completed Oct. 22, 1977. It is 876 feet above the New River & is 3,030 feet in length. It is the 2nd largest single span steel arch in western hemisphere & highest vehicle carrying bridge in the US. It was impressive seeing it from the platform which took about 10 minutes to walk to. The visitor center has an enclosed area to view New River Gorge. I took a selfie & many pics. We spent about 30 minutes until we were back on the road.
