He is so cute! My Bonnie had two luxating patellas( both knees had no grooves where the knee caps were supposed to sit and at 6 months she woke up and was dragging her back legs. Had surgery and she acts like nothing ever happened! It is truly amazing. They say kne problems are very common in the smaller dogsw!
Thankyou! My youngest child is 34 and none of my kids live near me and I have a really big need to be loved and play, so all my attention in my dogs. I used to have several, but After 1st Twiggy died, I swore I'd never go thru it again til my nephew brought this teeny little hairy-long fanged personality to my house. He's the only dog that I have seen that will stare a human being back right in the eye, or, if he wants something, he figures you know what it is, and he'll sit and stare at you til you notice. Then it becomes 50-questions time! When he was a pup I used to go to work with teeth marks from me fingers to my elbows as I was determined to get the little fart to let me hug him! HUGS, I NEED HUGS! I settle for him laying close to me in the middle of the night! He runs around with a big blue frisby with his bones lining the bottom rim. Don't touch his bones, DH has threatened to get his bones for years, so, If you touch without knowing his bones are near, you get bit with no warning! He loves kids! The grandkids used to kick the ball to the end of a 60 foot trailer, he'd chase it, bring it back for more!
Twiggy loves his begging strips ; and & bones; he carries them around with a plastic newspaper in his mouth. He'll come to you and you ask him if he wants to TALK ABOUT IT. He moans while you stroke him. He definately has different tones as to the mood he's in, like when he didn't get fed when he wanted, or WHAT he wanted, or if his dad ignored him. He comes to mommie tho when he's hungry, hurt, or just wants to talk. He will not let anyone pick him up unless its to put him in the bed with his dad. I'm looking for the picture I have of him with a big yellow Walmart soccer ball in his mouth, one of his favorite toys. His toys all have names, and he knows them all. We know when the UPS man, the Schwans man, or the garbage man is coming 5-10 minutes before they get to our house. You rattle the piggy bank and he knows the paperboy is here. He knows EXACTLY how far you can reach. He tests you when he plays. If he can't play keep away, its flat not interesting. Hope he lives a long time, but he has a dislocated knee the vet says will just get worse and she can't do anything with it, especially at his age. He also carries his frisby around with bones in the rim. I'm afraid I'll lose him.
