I don't think that I used the black & white geometric paper to its full potential. I intended it to be a platform for the bird to be perched on, but it doesn't exactly look that way.
Immediately when I saw the bird paper and the music notes in the sticker pack, I thought of Maya Angelou's autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. This immediately made me think of my aunt, who adores Maya Angelou - so I decided I would use it to create a layout that she could enjoy.
I was also able to use another bird sticker that I have had for longer than I can remember.
Overall, I like the way that it turned out, even though I may have blurred the lines of the rules of the Ugly Paper Challenge.
