I took this picture just for the fun of it, placing the little flags that they had given us that morning for the deloyment ceremony into 2 week old Gabby's hand while her daddy was holding her. I was overwhelmed with joy, pride and a touch of sadness when I realized what a beautiful picture it turned out to be.
Poem reads:
My daddy is a soldier
He works hard everyday.
To protect and help the people
of the good ole USA.
He is handsome in his uniform;
He's big and strong and brave.
Even though he's not here,
for him the flag I'll wave~
So God, please bless my daddy
and I'll wait patiently;
because I love my daddy
and I know he loves me.
