Just loving this. I too am a huge T.Holtz fan. Love the colors, textures, quote and how you inked up that ribbon. I didn't think I "needed" (ha!) this stencil but now I've got to have it. Would love to know what type of ribbon you used (looks more like fabric?) and what the heart is made out of and how you made it look like that.
The sunburst was created using texture paste and stencil, but I after I inked it up I used a matte finish Modge Podge to go over it and seal the texture.
Hey LD, yes I did create the ribbon. I can't find the Tim Holtz ribbon like this in the local craft stores, but at HL I found a package of three various shades that is similar to the distress ribbon. This one is a combination of distress ink pad stamped directly on my craft sheet this spritzed with water this drag it through the various colors. It works better when you get the ribbon wet first as well. Once I get the look I want then I squeeze the excess water out by bundling it into a ball. This one does tend to hold the wrinkles, but not like the TM distress ribbon did. Then I lay it out and use a heat tool to dry it a bit. Then I do the same think with the distress paints that I want. Dab some on the craft sheet and spritz it with water. However, I don't drag the ribbon through the paint bc its too concentrated. So I just use my figure to put it where I want it . Dry it a little once again and wad it up to get the wrinkled look then dry it good with a heat tool. Pretty simple, but gives a custom look.
So beautiful! What a great sentiment! At first I thought the sunburst was embossed, but I see you tagged the product as a stencil. Did you Gesso it? The texture and colors are so rich looking.
