I used everything! Flowers, snaps-in the center of flowers, tulle-placed under flowers and tied on loop, three jewelry rings-placed around large ring, red jewel-center of flower, white circle, coin holder cut and used under flowers, wood- used like photo corners, Orange ribbon-to the left (used like paper), other ribbon looped under flowers, leather string-laced on journaling (pulls out from under photo)

Journaling: This picture may not mean much to anyone else, but it means a lot to me. I know I could have taken a picture of my grandparent’s house. Or I could have used a picture of my grandparents. But this picture brings back so many memories for me.
I don’t remember much about my Grandpa Voss. I only have one memory of him, and it’s not a great one. I was very young and my Grandpa was very sick. I just remember sitting outside with my brother, not far from this barn, and seeing an ambulance take my grandpa away. My mom says he passed away not long after that day. Yes that memory makes me sad that I never had a relationship with my grandpa. But this picture reminds me of him and keeps him close to my heart.
This picture reminds me of the summers my brother and I would spend at our grandma’s. We had so much fun, running around the farm with our cousins. I remember my grandma would have the round hay bails in this barn. My brother, cousins and I would climb on top of the hay bails and try and push each other in the space between the hay bails. Yes I know, we were mean to each other. But it was so much fun, unless you fell in a hole with spiders.
This picture may not be spectacular or interesting to others. But this picture reminds me of my childhood and my family, the good and the bad.
