I made two cards after seeing a gorgeous card by Zoe Russell posted on her blog, Zoeblingcards, on March 3, 2015. Who would have thought that black Brusho could make that beautiful, multi-colored background!
Card: 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 100-lb. cardstock for card base Stampin' Up! black cardstock for mat Fabriano 140-lb. hot-press watercolor paper Penny Black stamp, Charming Ranger's Archival Ink, Jet Black Molotow Art Masking Liquid, Refill, applied with an old brush (Don't use a good one!) Peerless Watercolors (Brilliant Yellow, Deep Yellow, Light Green, Dark Green, Sky Blue)
Stamp, mask, and let dry. Sprinkle Brusho watercolor powders, and spray with water. Let dry. Remove mask, and watercolor. Next time, I think I'll emboss the image. That would make it easier to watercolor. Also, if you use any watercolor powders, be careful to move aside anything you don't want to get specks on. It's amazing how these travel.
