Ok so I got totally excited when I saw this rainbow/tie-dye washi tape. I knew it would be fun to own plus I needed some for the washi challenge because until now I only had 3 rolls of washi and non of them go together. Nearly as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to do this heart design. I also knew I was going to use this as an opportunity to try a new technique I saw using spray inks and plastic. Sweet! So I bought it and quickly went home to put my idea on paper (all last week my brain turned ON...I couldn't stop thinking about LO ideas for NSD). After I put the BG together however, I was totally stuck. What picture should I use?!? Jen looked through my book of pictures I want to scrap and suggested this one... Since I had NO idea what I was going to do with this picture I thought "this might work." Once I cut out the BG (which was just enough rug and fireplace to be distracting and not pretty) it started to come together. I hand made the frame (it took about 3 attempts to get the size and thickness right). But then I was totally stumped again! Agh!!! Now I was hung up on the placement. In the Center? In the corner? On one of the hearts? Off the hearts? What was killing me was every time I laid it down and added some embellies it just made the BG disappear. Finally I decided to get rid of all the flowers and tassels and cool stuff I was gonna use and just went arrow crazy. I kind of love it now. Its just so exciting and yet sweet and really showcases my adorable girls. They love each other so much! I am glad I stuck with this LO, it was worth all the fussing.
