Oh oh oh I love this!!! Love that you got super duper messy and included the movie poster and tickets! I have an idea like this on my desk, but it has yet to emerge onto the paper. Of course our photo is only from February because my crazy DH refuses to see movies the day the come out because he hates crowded theaters.. Anyway have the movie tickets and all too but not the page. It'll come, they always do! LOOOOOVE those glittery stars and the messy bg! So cool! What fun that must have been!
So glad you enjoyed it. I don't have pictures when my son and my husband went to see the movie but I saved the ticket stubs. Need to use some posters from the net.
Love the seed beads here and other glittery stuff.
I was wondering how big that mess was getting! I would have cried and I only know 1 thing that happened. Just wasn't interested and I was afraid the 1 thing that did happen would happen and then there was no point. So glad you enjoyed it.
WOW! WOW! WOW! You really captured the Star War feel on this one - so artsy and creative. So many techniques and paints and sprays and inks and glitter - and it all comes together to make a perfect Star Wars layout! Just WOW.
DH, SIL, & I were all so excited (for over a year) when we heard they were finally making Episode 7. We talked about it, discussed the trailers (at length), and re-watched all 6 movies (to round out the 100th time we've all seen them). So when the big night came on December 18th we were not sure what to excpect. Luckily the movie was great! We laughed, we cried, it was an awesome adventure...just like the originals (Eps 4, 5, & 6). I am so glad we all got to go together. I didn't know them back when any of the other movie were released. What a wonderful "first time" to enjoy together.
Obviously I have had this horrible grainy picture taken with my phone in the dimly lit theater since mid-December, why am I just now scrapping it 6 months later? Because I was totally stumped!!! I knew I wanted to include the movie poster and the ticket stubs, but then the LO just seemed really full. Plus I wanted to to be Star Wars-y, but not with stickers or some strange format. About a month a go I came across about 4 different ideas that merged together in my head to look something like this. Of course the end product is not exactly what I had in mind buy its close. Its both shiney and yet messy & dull. (Like Star Wars) Its got a lot of cool little metal pieces and "hardwear" or "tech" but it is also covered with words and depth (due to the printed vellum)...which is supposed to mimic the way the amazing effects and technical skills of the film are balanced with the beautiful rich story line. I hope it comes across this way. I can tell you one thing....I made a GIANT mess making this! haha! Glitter and paint, and ink spray, and sequins, and seed beads EVERYWHERE. It was worth it. I really like this one. TFL
