So beautiful. That is so neat that your father was a sunkist grower. I grew up in SoCal a while (I won't age myself. ;)) after all the orange trees had been cut down to make way for schools and things. I still remember the historical orange grove on the CSUN campus... all that was left of a valley that was once made of orange groves. Orange pysanki, what a great way to remember your father! Are you going to put them in a vintage carton with old orange posters on it?
My grandfather was a Sunkist Grower with ten acres of orange trees in Southern California. The SMELL of Oranges takes me back to the heart of my family. The TASTE of freshly-squeezed oranges takes me back to breakfast at Grandma's; The LOOK of an orange takes me back to playing in Pappy's orchard with my cousins.
