My entry for the NSD Lets Get Inky challenge. After playing with my sunflower mask for the Watercolor challenge, I got inspired to try another method of watercolor, using that mask and my favorite medium, texture paste. I pasted the three sunflowers on white paper and then let them dry. Then I got inky with my gelatos and watercolor brush . I loved the results (see the finished page here too), but wasn’t sure what photos to use without covering up my hard work.

Then I remembered the photos from the Fall photo shoot I did of my kids last October at a local park. While lots of the photos came out blurry due to camera issues (and quick-moving littles), I did get a few great shots of the kiddos together! I’ve also been saving that sunflower stem for a special occasion (I LOOOVE sunflowers) and this was it! LOVE how this turned out and will definitely frame this page, tho I’m not 100% sold on those butterflies at the top yet… Anyway I’m happy with the results!
