When we got back from dinner tonight this letter from Jan was on our bed.
She wrote it several days ago and gave it to her cabin steward to give to our cabin steward so he could leave it in our room for us.
We didn't get it until several days after she wrote it.
We had so much fun on the ship with Jan. It just isn't going to be the same without her but we know we will cruise with her again!
Don't know if the letter will be legible but wanted to clarify her last paragraph where she mentioned 2 wives. There was NOTHING inappropriate going on. Not knowing the 3 of us, the last paragraph could make that questionable.
What she means is that Bill gave both of us flowers many times - I got the larger bouquet and she got a small one for her room - even on Valentine's Day. At dinner he pulled out chairs for both of us and escorted both of us to the shows. When I got a little angry at him for something she took my side and he had both of us on his case. We teased that Bill had 2 wives - but not in our cabin! Just at dinner, in ports and around the ship. I didn't want a misunderstanding about that. She is a very dear friend to both of us! She calls him the Captain, she calls me the Captain's Wife and we call her the Captainette. Even off the ship, when he calls to tell her about another new cruise we discovered, he leaves a message - "This is the Captain with a message for the Captainette." If she is home she will get right to the phone and say, "Yes sir, Captain!"
