I made this card for Jan's Artsy Inkers Reunion 2016 Warm-Up Challenge: Vintage Watercolor. I was inspired by the wonderful tutorial Heather Telford videotaped for Splitcoaststampers (Vintage Watercolor) and the incredible video Karlyn Holman made for Cheap Joe's (Speedball's Elegant Writer).
I was going to toss this image because it wasn't anything like what I had envisioned. Then I decided to do what Karlyn had done with the background using the Elegant Writer. I used a paint brush to pick up the scribbled ink and water from the craft mat. It's still not great, but I thought it was salvageable. Thank you, Jan, for this challenge. I will definitely strive to improve.
