Hi all! Finally got a chance to make a layout and I surprised myself by finishing this in two days' time! I started on it yesterday and finished up today! The background papers are actually a bit greener than the picture shows but it's pretty close. They were given to me many years ago by my best friend and she got them from Costco back when they sold scrapbooking supplies. I distressed all around the edges of the bottom paper but I cropped it because of my bedspread showing a bit much!

I took this picture of my husband, Kenneth, and sons, Sam and Dan, when we went to California and stopped off at the Crooked River Gorge in Oregon. There's some awesome scenery there and those of you that know my youngest son, Daniel, is an avid train photographer, although he is doing some scenic and portait photography too. There is a really cool train trestle there and we waited a bit to see if he could get a shot of one on the trestle. Well, we heard a horn coming in the distance but it turned out to be some kind of equipment hauling a backhoe! Sounded just like a train horn. A BNSF pickup was just ahead of it and the guy waved at us as he rolled on by!

I'm sure some of you have spotted my oddball items by now! My sweet son, Sam, hung another LED shoplight yesterday over the beautiful craft table he built me so I can see fantastically! The shoplight comes with those two ballast hangers you see there holding up the frame, so to speak. I wired them together in the middle because they are way too long to hang it straight. The green doo-dads are wired wrapped bolts and believe it or not came from Hobby Lobby! The "belt" at the bottom is actually a hat band off one of Sam's cowboy hats. I attached it to the belt buckle that's actually a brad from Brandy (Jellybean). I've had that for a coon's age also! :-) Arrowheads are from my dear husband as well as the drywall tape.

The wood frame and hearts were from Unique Laser Designs. I was a guest designer for them about a year and a half ago and they gave them to me. On the frame, I just rubbed Tim Holtz Pumice Stone ink pad and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I wrote I Love You on the hearts. On the leaves from Kaisercraft I used some gold microbeads from Reneabouquets.

The brown fabric that looks like tooled leather is some scraps I had left from a footstool Sam made me years ago. It is such pretty stuff!

Oh yes, the little safety pin holding the key and locket were holding a tag on a dress shirt for one of my guys!

Items not listed:

Stamp at top of brown fabric is Autumn Leaves "On the Edge" by Katie Pertiet
Epoxy sticker on left is Heidi Grace
Hinge clip, burlap doily, tag, brads at top, key and locket, compass button - all from Hobby Lobby
