I cannot believe these photos are over two years old! Our son's first day at the Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Garden when he was just over 18 months, February 2014 (yep, we're in t-shirts and shorts! So Cal living at it's best!) He had a wonderful time with Mommy, Daddy, Abuela and Tia (paternal grandma and auntie). He really loved the gorillas, calling them "Galalas", and chose a stuffed gorilla from the toy shop as a souvenir. I wish he'd been looking at the camera, but there was an awful lot more exciting things to see that day... LOL!

This is my very quick scraplift of JustLyn's cute page A Day at the Zoo seen here:

which is the title page for her absolutely wonderful Zoo album! (I could have lifted that whole album actually!)

As usual I had about six pages I wanted to lift from her gallery, but time was not my friend (also as usual) this month! I'm about 50% done with the other lift I wanted to do, but I didn't want to be late. I actually loved her Zoo page and loved that she used the zoo map as her BG. Well, I've been wanting to scrap some zoo pix from my DS first trip to the zoo (and several thereafter) so I thought this would be perfect - and quick and easy. I have an Iris box full of all the ephemera I stash away after anything we do and knew I had several of the maps from the LA Zoo and our tickets. Since DS was under 3 he was free so he has no ticket. I also knew I'd bought several embellishment packs right after this trip and, having just reorganized my embellishment stash, I actually knew exactly where they were! (Concept!!!)

I'm almost embarrassed to admit that this took maybe 20 minutes to complete once I chose the supplies I wanted... :[ Everything here is hoarded, nothing new on here so this definitely qualifies for my Hoarders challenge as well!

TFL!
