What a beautiful tribute to your mom...I lost my dad and I still have a hard time scrapping him, though I want to remember him and the good times, it's so hard to immerse yourself in thinking about them and wishing and remembering...your LO is beautiful and I am sure she would think so too. Have a wonderful weekend :)
Elizabeth~I just love this layout! What a special tribute to your mom and stepdad. It's really heartwarming to see how much love that you had for them. Of course, I rave about your flowers and this is just so gorgeous! This definitely gets pinned onto my Scrapbook-friend's pages board and of course, into my favorites here!
Heartfelt emotions come through in this beautiful LO and photo. A beautiful mix of textures, embells and colours. Your mom would have loved seeing your creation.
Wow, This is fabulous, the papers the stencil, the flowers, absolutely stunning. FAVE so I can look at it again later! The lace, fibers, trinkets. Masterpiece. I have that stack, it's wonderful
Breathtakingly beautiful page full of love and sweet sentiment. Everything about this fabulous page is gorgeous, design ,detailing and a wonderful precious photo.
This is beautifully elegant. Your burlap flowers are perfect and your layers of lace and pearls make this so gorgeous. No question that this was made by someone who loves and misses these two. I love the emotion you feel looking at it. Lovely work.
Hi Elizabeth. This is fabulous! Its so well put together. I know what you mean about getting emotional and wishing your Mom could see. I often think of my Mom while making my cards and other things I do in life that would have been shared with her. One day...we're gonna have soo much to talk about with them :o)Ro
Your page is gorgeous. The memories, love and emotions show beautifully in this page. I look at the soft colors to show true love. The embellishments used, I see much more with embellishments used. I think this is truly one of the BEST pages you have made that moved me just about to tears. Thanks so much for sharing.
This layout holds special meaning to me. The featured picture is my Mom and stepdad taken at my wedding and two weeks before their wedding! My stepdad married my husband and I. He was a wonderful man and I had known him most of my life. He was so good to and for my Mom.
I really enjoyed putting this layout together although right toward the end I got pretty emotional wishing my Mom was still alive to see what I'd made.
I made the pink burlap flowers (from a Tracey Sabella tutorial) and besides the little pearl and rhinestone buttons for centers I added glitter glass to the centers from Gone Artsy. The re-embroidered lace flowers under them are also from Gone Artsy, as well as the pink lace, doily under the aqua flower and resin clock on the left.
The musical paper at the bottom is DCWV Primrose Stack. Pretty background paper is Kirby Teesdale Studio from Hobby Lobby's Paper Studio. The diecut frame under the picture was from our friend, Melissa (Scraphouse). I inked it up with TH Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry. The spoon, resin butterfly and bird and aqua flowers are from Reneabouquets. I added some of that glitter glass to the spoon. The white lace, pretty buttons and pendants were all from Hobby Lobby. The crinkled aqua ribbon under the lace was from a local store called Pickled Papers. The aqua flower on the top left of the picture is Prima from Mary (Abbygirl). The butterflies are from Angelica's Little Scrap Shop on Etsy. Bling flourishes are from Close To My Heart.
